Does anyone have any tips on how to straighten bent trim? I have trim that has dents and dings in it that's not too bad I'd like to get fixed up. I also have the two pieces that screw onto the entry part of the doorways that people step on to get to the back seat that is totally trashed. Is there any way to bring this back into shape without buying new?

Well I have never tried it but Chip Foose said on one of the episodes of Overhaulin that you always use the same or softer materials to come in contact with the trim. This is so you dont stretch the aluminium or stainless or whatever, for instance if the trim is Aluminium, you would use an aluminium or wood tool to tap with a hammer to straighten it. Also dont do it too quickly or hard as this can heaten the area and distort it more.
Hope that helps, but dont blame me if it doesn't work

OH man! If I screw it up I've got to blame it on someone. It's never your own fault.
Naw, some of this trim is so bad maybe I should buy new. Does anyone know where I can get any here in the states or even somewhere else?
