hey all just wondering how to clean rims...i got et turbo rims n wana polish them before i sell them...i can get a kit from an auto shop the connects to a drill...ideas?...cheers

use the real degriser on tem not that can $h1t concentrate stuff ct somthink its called and pressure wash them or if you know any one that works at a car yard they have alluminum cleaner that they clean ute trays with works sweet on wheels

Don't use degreasers with ammonia in them if you have uncoated aluminum, it makes it 'hazy' not bad, but not the mirror shine some people like will be messed up, it can be fixed but it's extra work.

I still use ammonia based degreasers because they work really good on grease, and i'm indifferent to the hazing. Best is brake parts cleaner, but... probably destroys clearcoat. Pressure washers seem to do a poor job on brake dust, it needs a soft brush and water to get loose.

if you're going all out on making them look nice, a dremel with the polishing head and lots of polishing compound will make nearly anything look good.

steam cleaner should do well if there is one at your desposal.
I had mine sandblasted (bead blasting is better) and then just went up in grit sizes with hand sanding until they had a mighty shine to them.
A word of warning though, its a F*CK load of work.
