I have a standard A1400 block that I want to fit into my 1200, and would like to know what I need to do to make it handle 100 hp at the rear wheels. I have a ported & modified GX head, big valves etc. cam, twin 42DCOE Webers & extractors to fit on it.
Any ideas, recommendations etc..appreciated.

Just balance the crank and rods. The bottom end of these motors are bloody strong.

yea like A14force said, balance it and it'll be sweet, maybe go 40thou overbore like i did to mine,it makes the bore and stroke the same so you get a perfectly square motor.

This engine is for a PRC Rally car, that has to stay under 1400 cc's. Maybe a 0.5 mm overbore would be allowed. My first A14 with basically stock bottom end, a hot street cam, 40mm DCOE's with extractors etc, made 75 KW (100 HP) at the rear wheels.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
