I go the sr20de route cheap conversion cheap parts and for reliability and streetable with big power the sr20de wins hands down i think there about 120-130hp from the factory with cams bit of porting an exhaust bigger injectors and etc. would make for a super quicl n/a 1200 and probably more worth your money

I would do a sr20de hands down. I went with a s14 sr20de that i converted to s13 sr20de harness, computer, maf, sensors. I using brian crower s13 sr20de stage 2 cams with s13 cam gears. I disabled the intake cam advance crap. Fit nice in my chassis considering the auto cars trans tunnel is wider in the states i know for a fact. I'm just so done with carbs. The s14 sr20de comes 10:1. With my tuned computer, good flowing 2.5 exhaust, cams .. i hope to get some good numbers to the wheels.

Mate you can get sr20de's for cheaper than 1500 to 1800! I reckon 800-1200 if you look around! And gearbox wise dont quote me on this but im pretty shore an r30 stumpy 5 speed will bolt to the sr bellhousing and with the stumpy the gearstick should pop up in the original gearstick hole and is good for some big horsepower!

check out this link on a sr20de 1200 conversion:

Sr into 1200

But getting the MadDat kit is definately the way to go!

good luck

Jake

Well.. I dont know how things work in your area. I'm obviously from the USA. I can get a complete s14 sr20de front clip for about 1200. comes with everything. I mod the harness myself and put in relays and such to get it running like standalone. I make my own mounts but yes i guess you can go with a maddat setup don't see why not.

parts i needed were as fallows.

sr20de s14 motorset " comes with engine trans wiring computer coil and so forth"
custom mounts
custom driveline
Radiator " I'm using a sr20det silvia s13 200sx chassis radiator. fits perfect in the 1200 engine bay. measures 26.5 wide 16.5 tall 2.0 thick in inches.
custom radiator hoses you can obtain from part store or make em from a bunch of hoses.
inline fuel pump i normally snag from a efi nissan that has inline pumps.. example 280zx 280z or something that sort.
May want to modify your tank or get a surgetank to keep your engine from starving for fuel on hard turning and accelerating.
You will need to run a return line for the efi system to work properly.
some type of electric fan with relay or thermostat switch
make a intake from throttle body to maf..
nissan style throttle cable

Pretty simple swap IMO I'm sure you can do it especially asking around for help on the forum. I don't know to much about your area like i said so some stuff i talk about may be different or whatnot.

depends on what sr you get. i would say anywhere from 140 to 155 to wheels. RWHP. Like i said I dont know whats available to you as far as parts go. Diff i run right now is from a datsun 510 wagon. I snapped axles all day long when i have a ka24e and de in my 1200. I didn't weld this diff so I should be ok i guess!
