You're on Chris.
Revhead,
That is a nice manifold! The 390 is an awesome carb. I have one on my V8. The smaller carb rating means that the air speed through the venturis is higher, and the response is fantastic. (at least on an 8) On my 8 you just have to sqeeze the pedal and it lights up. You could well find that you also suffer from accelerator pump nozzle dribble. It's apparently most prevailent on in line engines. On a vee engine the motor is balanced. But on an in line engine the shaking unseats the anti syphon check needle, resulting in the dribbling. I take it you're going to get the carb all sorted proir to boosting it? If you find it does dribble when revving it up let me know, and I'll find the contact of the guy I bought the kit off.
A blown L20B will be a formidable package. I contemplated blowing my old L20B, but sold the car.
On a more unfortunate note however, after further investigation it turns out that my GX head is cracked

.
I've long suspected there was a breach of the cooling system. I mite well find that gasket has blown too, but hopfully it was just the crack. GX heads just got a bit rarer.
