Hello. Just wondering if I could get some opinions on what may be causing my engine malfunction. I get a rough idle, but when gas is applied it seems as though its choking out. Replaced plugs, cap and rotor, and rebuilt carb. none of that helped. could it be I need to replace points and condenser as well, or might it be something I'm overlooking? Any imput would be greatful considdering it's 40 miles one way to nearest parts store.

you might as well replace the points and condensor since you have fixed nearly everything else.

After the carby was rebuilt, I take it you have since retuned it to the motor?

Have you checked the fuel filter for blockage?

Is the choke stuck perhaps?

Maybe the coil is playing up?

I rebuilt the carby myself, and I'm pretty sure that I got it back together right. lol, man I would hate to have to take it back apart again. I am going to try replacing the points/condensor and the coil, seems like the logical next step. Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. I'll let you know what finally does the trick.
