Just bought one of these off ebay, top notch brushed aluminium dashplates fit perfectly, better grab some he has only got about 10 of them.

Mmm not bad. Not hard to make mate would do a number of them cheaper than that.

Looking at it you would have to jig a piece of aluminium and file the top part of it heaps as thats not straight, looks pretty tough, dont think it would be that easy to make up a bunch of them. Would need to make a wood template, i tried to make one up but it was too hard as the dash fascia is odd shaped and you have trouble filling up all the open parts. Plus these ones are cut perfectly, i thought it would be cheaper than spending a few hours making one up. My time is too valuable:P

Oh im hearing ya matey There not a 5 minute job It would take time and patience. Anythings possible with the right tools and tools are my addiction. Will get some sheet off a mate and give a couple a go in the next month. Have dabbled in this stuff on and off in my time on earth so experience helps to.

sounds like to me he made them and now cant sell them haha so his making them sound hard to make

Nah hes an honest bloke, bought some datsun hats, beanies off him and they are all top stuff. I asked him bout the change in price, he said that he had them made in factory, initially got 5 then got 5 more a week later, worked out cheaper coz of the computer cad inputs and measurements on his template the first time round.

well mine was lasercut and i made the cad drawing and it only cost me $50 for the 2mm steel and getting it cut and mine has all the gauge holes in it as well

Yeah $50 sounds about more on the money, but can't blame the guy for trying to make a buck.
