RUST! NEED HELP

hey, on my 1200 there is a big rust hole behind the front left wheel, but the guard covers it, the hole would be the size of your fist, its on the shell under the door, and i dont no how to go about fixing it!!!!! and help guys

Yep and make sure theres nothing behind it that can catch fire wiring etc. then cut it out and use the square or shape you cut it out to draw the new piece on a nice bit of sheet like an old car door etc. Coat the new piece in weld through primer and tak it in place then drop tacks around slowly to reduce warping as you can imagine its only pretty thin steel will warp with to much heat. Slap a couple coats of flat black kill rust over it and ya done.
