Hi all my name is Tom I've just turned 17 and my parents bought me a 1971 datto 1200 coupe about 2 years ago, since then me and dad (mostly dad) have been sneaking away into the garage and doing some extreme work to it so Yeah this thread is to show you what we have done over these past years and what we are still doing to it. I'll post pics up until now then I'll update it every now and then to show you what we have done to it recently.

this is how we purchased the car but we had just picked up some mags for it a few days before and put new tyres on the back

After a few weeks we started getting into getting the interior looking a bit better, dad did all that himself and wow did he do a good job of what. We also put in a carpet which it seemed to lack when we bought it plus some seat covers for the original bucket seats.

I also purchased some 6.5 splits and 6x9 speakers plus a new head deck.

new front wheels and same mags as back ones put on a month before this pic and a few things had been re-chromed as well. Also i was one mirror down so i decided to get a new pair which turned out alright in terms of looks.

I'm currently just uploading some pics of the new engine in the engine bay as well as the new gearbox and diff. I'll post them tomorrow.

wow thats a damn nice 1200 coupe
i see your on your L's and i assume this is your only car. my only advice is get a sh!tter to flog around and keep this garaged most of the time and take it out for a cruise every saturday/sunday as id hate to see get smashed by some clown running into you!!
