anyone ever considered doing this?

mazda b6 DOHC head, distributor less ignition, fuel injection as factory on head and a well chosen turbo on the side.

Why not combine all the wacky conversions (EFI, turbo and DOHC) into one engine.

Im pretty sure that it has been attempted before, but it wasnt a bolt on job. I think it was the water galleries that made it a nightmare.

Vaxhaul head fits the best, and is British so you know it's good.

interesting, thats probably quite a common head. Ill keep that in mind for a future a15 build. I hate doing the normal basic mods - id rather try something new or uncommon. I guess if i found a running a15 which i could mess around with a DOHC head and get that running then go do the full hog rebuild and find some more horses inside the old lump. Theres something about the a-series engine that makes me prefer them to more modern designs, maybe its the challenge of getting the most out of a basic economy focused engine.

ahem, and where did the nissan A series engine design ultimately come from?? yes you're right it was from the BMC B series via the early nissan E engine.

There a mini out there with a BMW 16 valve motorbike head on it producing 170hp without the help of forced induction so dont go bashing the brits! Bet theres not one part on a japanese car that fits every model japanese car! the chances of that are more probable with a brit car as they never changed anything
