Has anyone used a gazzelle gearbox behind there ca18 powered 1200.Do they fit in the tunnel.And do they last

1200 tunnel from Automatic 1200 will fit any big transmission. It is designed for the 71-series.

Nissan Gazelle is just a different market name for the Nissan S12 model series. Which is called Silvia in Japan, and 200SX in north america.

i have one but bought a stumpy when i saw one for sale, the gazelle box is definately a fair bit longer

would fit though

so the gazzelle box is a fair bit longer is the shifter further back than the stumpy also have you seen a gazzelle box next to ca box by any chance

nah only gazzelle next to stumpy, went with stumpy because the shifter was closer to engine, came out in the middle of the auto shift hole

the gazelle box shifter was at least 4inches possibly 6 behind that (cant remember measurement but significant)

or you could use an r31 box, they are just as strong as the s13 box but are about 2 inches shorter

R31 was also available with CA18 or CA20, so gearbox may already have the correct bellhousing. Especiall if you get an import gearbox.
