So to keep it simple, my sunny has had a problem with a high idle since day 1. It likes to idle around 1000RPM cold, but as the engine gets warm it averages 1500-2000RPM. I've gone through just about everything and can't find anything suggesting a problem. Choke is okay, no vac problems those sorts of things. I don't believe it's an adjustment problem either. Ideas?

i also have this problem with my a14 with twin webbers, i have a small crack in the intake manifold, i've assumed this is the reason, any insight would be good though.

Yeah, everything is hooked up correctly.

And leon, try sealing it with something and see if it has any effect.

I have same problem with 32\36, motor warms up idle speeds up. I just wound down the idle stop on the carb to give me about1100rpm. One problem it might be is the choke flap is not adjusting correctly, I'm going for a manual choke conversion on this carb so I don't have to worry about that happening again.

Yeah, you sound like the same problem here. I pulled my carb and I'm just going to rebuild it. Thinking about doing a manual choke while it's off.

it's not that the electric choke is a bad thing it's just that the contacts are so loose it doesn't stay on long enough to heat up and expand the coil spring inside it
