Nice, is that a can of MB in the second shot? Haven't seen that beer for ages in Perth.

My mates donated me some disc brake fronts, which I'll machine up and get the studs replaced with slightly longer ones

I've just bought a twin cylinder brake master booster of ebay for the conversion.

The test last night shows that the 205/55/15's fit but is this enough clearance of the front strut?

205 is unlikely to clear the struts.

Unless the wheel offset makes them stick outside the guards like this:

they hang out by an inch - does this mean you're not for-seeing much more than spacer and stud length problems?

The disc brake front struts 'seem' to have more clearance than the drum brake struts currently on the car, they did rub the lower front corner of the guard at one point in basic turn test.

I don't know if anyone has successfully fitted 205s to the front of a 1200. On the sedan rear 205s will fit if the perfect offset wheel is used. But on the front there is less room.

I reckon with spacers and guard clearance (perhaps overfender flares) it will work.
