A couple of video links for you guys to watch from the latest round on IPRA Nsw. this was a couple of weeks ago now.

Have been making constant changes to the car, big change has been a Straight cut dog box with a 1.1 5th gear. Race 1 was my first proper run with it so there are a few missed gear moments under pressure!!

Race 1- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e00bO4A0qo0
Race 2- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H8WRB9Bjis

Hope you enjoy!!! I know I did!!!

Those pesty Honda B series seem to have not much at the start but hold good lines.
The AE86 must have a very developed 4age20v? or 3sgevvl ?

D- the Ae86 is a quick car, fairly worked 3SGE beams... he is my one to catch.
The hondas are amazing handling machines straight out of the box... front drivers (Or Bum draggers) are really a different machine!!

Ange- it feels like your driving a motorbike with the new box, still trying to get my head around it. 1st is down where 2nd once lived and 2nd is where 3 was... easy in theory but under pressure its a handfull.
I'm still using the clutch on up and down shifts... maybe shift cut set up next...

Well done Andrew!!!! Fast and getting faster ..... never going to catch you at this rate! Sounds great and the dog box shifts sweet - the new standard for IPRA Dattos!
Good luck at Winton mate.
Cheers.

Dont like those bum draggers I just hope you chew them up in due course when you get used to your beast.
Chooie does anyone make an adapter to the t5 box for the SR?
The race dog gears are so much cheaper for these boxes than
for any other setup. Not to mention 8-10kg lighter.

It sounds like you're tearing the dogs off on down shifts. Is it a dog box?

Couple of things...............two nice saves and you steer the car more with the pedals then the wheel (my view is it's the proper way)

On the dog box: my experiance with hewland gearboxes has been that they're easier to shift with out using the clutch, the dog boxes don't seem happy with non-deliberate shifts.

I've seen Eastern Creek on the tele (super cars maybe) and it always looked fun to me. One thing I did notice is that you guys all seem well behaved, no big offs or paint swapping or wild pounding over the curbs.

Finally I noticed you take a different line in turn 9 , earlier entry. Also you really seem to have the 11/12 complex nailed.
