Hi everyone, I'm new here, and new to datsuns as well.

I have just bought myself an 85 1200 ute which I have recently got on the road.

Included with my ute was a bunch of spares including an H75 oval port head.

The head I have is in good nick, but I am just wondering if I can use the rocker gear from my existing head.

The H75 I have still has the valves, springs, retainers, collets etc but no rocker gear at all. Just wondering if it is all interchangeable before I tear the stock head off to put on the H75!

Cheers

I'm certain they are the same. The only difference would be in the Pushrod lengths, but in this case you are sticking with the A12 block.

Yep, sticking with the A12 bottom end... was hoping to keep the pushrods that are in there already, basically just a straight swap over. Most likley a light shave (40 thou perhaps) and bung her on...stock carb on oval port stock manifold.

Thanks for the help
