I want to put a bigger radiator in my 120y because the other one is old and rusted and the car gets hot these days, i do realize there is a page on this forum for radiators but its a little confusing, does anyone know the best radiator that will go well in my 120y?|

Cheers

Get a gemini one. Run s cool even on 40deg days.

People will say get the stock one rodded and cleaned. .. get the gemini one before another hot summer.

The B310 Sunny one is larger yet same height and same mounting flanges and same hose locations. Only need to add two new holes on one side, less work to fit than an Isuzu radiator.

A good used larger radiator will be less expensive than rodding and cleaning the small original. And it will cool better.

there's two sizes of radiator in 120Ys. Most have the small unit, but the wider one will keep a mild A series cool in summer. And bolts straight in. I'll get a pic & measurements tonight - I've got them both out of the car at the moment.

Gemini radiator is a good upgrade, but getting the hoses on can be a PITA as the inlet/outlet are 32mm. Datsuns are 28mm. Rubber grease is the go.

The normal 120Y radiator core measurements are 330Wx330H. The larger 120Y radiator core is 390Wx330H. About 20% bigger. Both of my 120Ys had the small size originally. The larger one bolts in to my 78 120Y coupe and fits the opening perfectly, but required a hole to be drilled in my 74 120 2dr sedan and overlaps the original opening a bit. Another early-late 120Y difference...
