Compact, yes. But more compact? Seems pretty typical in size

Datsun IRS probably weighs the same but is spread out front to back. Looks vertically more compact than the RAV4 assembly

As in look at the Rav4 spring and shock absorber travel! this allows bigger cabin space on that car but Ive yet to see just a compact form factor, space saving IRS

If I cant get a hardtop Nissan S10 then its going to be an MGB or locost build (prefer the hardtop mgb) with a v engine and looking for the most compact setup, to save weight and frame design. Ive got a 121kg fully dressed TVR AJP v8 and T5 WC box but looking still at V6 engines for size and weight.

So far nothing can compete with the stock AJP8 with 360hp, 408hp with 4 into 1 aftermarket headers and re-tune.

Stock weighs and factory HP

VQ35DE 142kg 260-280hp 1.95 hp per kg
F20c F22c 152kg 260hp 1.65hp per kg
SR20vet 160kg 280-300hp 1.8-2.0hp per kg
FJ20ET 166 kg 205hp 1.2 hp per kg
AJP8 4.2 121kg 360hp 2.975hp per kg

Torque wise the Honda is the worst even
compared to sr20ve and other LKA hybrids
