interesting facts I learned today from this advertisement:

* 日産サニー愛知は新車月販１，０００台のディーラーです。Nissan Sunny Aichi [at that time was] a dealer with monthly sales of 1,000 new cars

This is absolutely HUGE. By way of comparison, the largest dealer in America sold 1385 cars/month in 2019. Dave Smith Motors of Idaho (I see their RAM trucks even here in Hawaii). That's in a country with 320 million population, compared to Japan with 114 million in 1977. Maybe the Japanese were car-crazy, or maybe they had fewer dealerships, but in any case that's a lot of cars
