mate you would have to get it imported from Japan, the only car I know wif the SR20VE is the new nissan X-trail. I don't know of any wif the SR16VE but I hear they are awesome engines (180hp) or is that the SR16VET???
Cheers

I have a blue rocker cover(180hp) SR16VE available. Freight would be the killer to NZ. Oh also price $3600 OZ
I looked at it for my sunny coupe but eyes were bigger than budget.

BigJase,

Japanese Performance Carparts (Gary, 09 299 8269) had one with manual fwd gearbox about a month ago, tell them I put you on to them they'll look after you, they're neat in there.

I looked very closely at putting it into my coupe but desided it was going to be too much of a mission to convert it to RWD.

Yep price and setting up for RWD makes it an expensive proposition. Be good in a light front drive car though

I went to jap land three months ago and I was shock to see what #### thay sell to us. I thought by buying a car or motor from there having low kms is all good!
How wrong I am. Only the rich get there cars serviced and that may four times if lucky!
Your doing good if there is oil and water in it.

sorry for being negative, But do self a fav and do your home work.

good luck Have fun

I agree with the above especially applies to SR20's. The best way to tell if they have done any km's without service is to feel the wear ridges on the cam lobes

would this engine fit in a micra (march),would probably make an interesting plaything.i knew someone who put a 20 valve 4age into a toyota starlet,& thought this might be the nissan equivalent.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
