I think I remember reading somewhere that this is a good, cheap mod. Have any of you done this?

I did this when I changed engines over to an A15.
It's what it said to do on MArtins Datsun 1200 page. It wasn't until in the last year I actually realised that it would make it spin up faster.

wots the difference in weight?
are they the same thickness?
can a15 clutches be put onto a12 flywheels with no mods?

i did this too when i put the a-14 in. thanks to lobster i have now just learned that it spins up faster. cheers!
Matty, if u do change them over dont freak when u find it doesnt fit like i did for about 10 secs when i swapped mine over. the bolt pattern only fits one way, so u just have to turn the fly wheel until it slips on.
