hey guys,
i got my head skimmed yesterday, 1.5mm has now been removed. bolted it up and found quite a differance i just need to do some fine tuning and i should be sorted.

i would also like to know, what happens when you have your cam timing 1) 1 tooth advanced and 2) 1 tooth retarded.

many thanks

Usually if the timing is off one tooth, it sputters and coughs and doesn't run quite right. Two teeth, it may not even start ...

Shaving the head does alter the timing, it might be time you bought a vernier cam gear, to dialout some the changes to your timing as a result of shaving the head.

Timing changes with OHC-heads but not with OHV.
