You can be booked for "unduly" obstructing traffic, you can be booked for dangerous driving, you can be booked for a whole lot of things, but none of them include "going too slow."

Adjust the "racing" speed to the circumstances. 45 [& 46] kph in an 80 zone will drive the point home just as well, [even 50 & 51] particularly if you use a gear that keeps the engine at "cruise speed", like about 3,000 / 3,500rpm or so. One needs only a light pedal pressure to attain this in second, or third, so exhaust noise should be minimal.
