I asked a heap of questoions about this recently and I will be putting some twin hitachi SUs on my 1000. I will put up a pm to ya on their realibility once installed if ya lke. Everyone here says they are great carbs and almost maitaince free. The biggest hurdle it seems is the initial tuning, but nce set correctly are all good.
