just a note on keeping your dash and any other similar surface looking good.
i was put onto a product called "dash" by a trimmer who did a flat cream cover for my ute.
its a milky looking liquid with a distinctive smell, that worked well on all interior surfaces.... heaps better than Armour- all which tends to dry them out after a bit.

on dash restorations (this was about 3 years back), the guy that painted my ute knew a trimmer who would restore and paint dash boards for about $200. cant think of names though....
