Craig the only reason I made that post was because I have had many years experience with Dom and never had any problems with him or his computers and I just felt it was a bit of a silly statement to make without giving reasons. Like you now pointed out, you havent had experience with upto date computers so your statement is a bit misleading to someone trying to obtain information on a subject. I can say microtechs first series of computers were pretty #### as they went out of tune easy due to being manually tuned but from the MT series on I have never had any problems and MT series has been out for quite a few years now.
You say you had problems with light throttle response and blame lack of load points, tell me was you computer dyno tuned for normal city driving or to be a horsepower hero, how was your manifold designed, how were the injectors positioned, how big was your throttle body? Numerous things contribute to throttle response.
Higher end computers have more load points and when you order a Microtech if you specify to Dom or Russ that you need more load points they can accomodate this but the price increases just like if you were buying a high priced computer which simply comes with this whether you require it or not.
I have only had experience with Microtech and EMS and I know both Dom and Peter can make the computer to your specifications and I am sure most othe companies can also.

I have no wish to comment on the actual topic as I have done so many times before and its all there to be found with the search button. At the end of the day it comes down to how much someone can do themself then how much money they have and what they ultimately want. Each setup has its pitfalls.
