If you are going to run a locked diff, it pays to paint thin straight lines down your axles. this way you can pull out an axle and inspect it for twist so you can replace it before it snaps. It is also better to make a "foundry locker" instead of welding up the gears. Welding up side gears can fukc the metal and cause the gears to crumble ( a bit like when a std 1200 diff blows).
