I've been sucked in to the world of "American Chopper" on The Discovery Channel. Now I hate Hardley Dumbasson motorcycles as much as the next guy (why settle for comfort performance or reliability when you can have a Harley?) but I think I want to build a Chopper. However, I want to use a Datsun A-series engine. I'm still trying to work out how to transmit the power to the rear tire without resorting to building a trike. I have an idea, but it is a little off the wall and will require some serious fabrication. I'm going to slap together an A-14 block and head, without internals, for some mock up and measurements over the long holiday weekend. Of course, anyone who has been here very long knows that my hair brained schemes rairly come to fruition. But I just thought I'd plant this notion in the heads of the rest of y'all and see what comes of it.
