Absolutely right.
If you restrict the outlet, you build up oil pressure behind the seals on the turbo shaft. If the seal leaks under pressure, you get oil into the combustion chamber. The octane rating of oil is pretty low, & at full boost, & full song, you may not detect the detonation untill it's too late.
That can't be good.
