my reply was so long i got cut off.
Anyways were was I? Oh yes..
I turned my tie rods in a lathe, just behind the threaded part, back about a half inch. A little more on the bad side to compensate for (hide) the damage. I guess you could turn
them back more and add or subtract washers to make them adjustable, but thats a pain in the butt.
