Rear wheel bearing

Hi All,

After a few hours on the skid pan at Mt Cotton in my ute, a few weekends ago, I think I may have done a rear wheel bearing.

I now have a rotational/speed oriented noise coming from the back end. It is intermittent, sort of like a grinding noise that gets faster as speed increases.

I am going to change the diff oil to see if that helps (it needs it anyway).

Are the bearings easy to change? As easy as a front bearing? Has anyone done one before? Hints, tips.

Thanks
