Ive decided to put a SR20 motor in my 2 door. I have found a mid 90s s14 silv. which has had a big snot in the back but otherwise complete and running for $400. So my plan is to take the engine, wiring loom/computer etc, front suspention and brakes, M/C and rear brakes and front seats and other bit of crap that will fit in the 1200. Problem number one. its an auto so i have to find a box. number two; i have no idea how to do the swap. Ive been told ill need to transplant the s14 tunnel into the 1200 to get the box in but I REALLY dont want to chop up the 1200. Is there a smaller box that will handle a standard sr20 and will fit in (happy to use a bit of force!!) a 1200 tunnel. Ive also been told that ill need to use the s14 mounts and cut the top face of the crossmember (and reposition it lower) to fit the sr in. Ive had a breef look and I know im being lazy but if any of you sr boys could give me tips and an indication as to what needs to be done it would been realy cool.
