If you even suspect that the radiator is becoming a problem, then pop it out & have it properly cleaned & tested. While it is out, go & buy a new thermostat, or at least, test your old one & make sure it is working oroperly. I had a new triple row core supplied for the radiator in my 200B [810] & was surprised at just how little it cost over & above the price of a stock replacement core.

Look at it this way, if you spend say, $100 on a rediadtor clean out & service, along with a thermostat, it will compare quite favourably against the possible cost of a lost engine, the inconvenience of being stranded, & the cost of the tow home.
Factor in the fact that if this disaster should befall you, then you gotta do the radiator thing anyway.
An ounce of prevention,...etc.
