I have solid stanza disks on front with rear H165 drums a proportioning valve and a master cylinder build to proportion the brakes properly. I can flog the car allday on the track without even a hint of fade. Dattodude on the street the rear brake may only work 20% of the time but in racing they work about 45% of the time. In an open wheeler, you find that the rear braking mechanism is usually identical to the front. The car has less pitch under brakes than a road car therefore more braking can be used at the back. Same is true for any modified suspension in a car. The front springs on my coupe are rated at 300lbs and the inserts are koni race therefore there is less pitch forward and the rear brakes can have more bias. As you can see it is a delicate science, balancing off one single modification unto the rest of the chassis. I love the art of racing physics!!!!
