HELP! pads dragging after drum to disc conversion

As stated in the title I now have rear discs, actually a complete R31 Skyline rear end, but the rear pads are dragging. Is there a residual pressure valve in the brake lines or master cylinder that I need to remove? Could there be another reason for this problem? The rear brakes have been rebuilt so the problem isn't due to a seized piston.
