I have never done a diff conversion on a 1000 but im sure there just as easy as a 1200. I upgraded to a H190 diff from a 1600 wagon. All i did was reweld the mounts to suit the 1200 leafs. There not much wider(about an 1" either side) and huge improvemants can be made - with money. I had a stock one behind my heatlhy A15 and it took the beating for about 9 months. Its not broken yet im sure my 150hp A14 will kill it. There are LSD, disc brake setups and bigger axles made for these and can be made very strong. Another conversion that i have heard of is Andrews Mitsi Scorpion diff. It has disc brakes stock and LSD centres are availible. Just have to re-weld the mounts. Im not sure whether Andrew shortened it tho? The easiest conversion is to find a 1200 ute diff. There stronger than the coupe/sedan diffs and bolts straight up. Ive also heard of people using escort diffs, mazda RX diffs and hilux diffs. As for your front discs i wouldnt have a clue! I've never done anything on a 1000 before. I have read about it before but cant remember exactly what he did. I'll try and hunt down the magazine. From what i do remember it wasnt "too hard mate" Obviously the guy that said that doesnt know dattos. Hope this helps. Scott
