From what i have picked up on, it would seem that the Jag V12 is a worthless black hole into which you pour buckets full of money for little result. Thats what i have heard.
The Rover, on the other hand is a chunk of good old American engineering. The 3.5L engine is little more than a 63 Buick 215 with Lucas electrics. It was also served up as the engine option in Pontiac Tempests from memory, & the same engine, with more conventional wedge heads & an extra four head blots per side was offered in some Oldsmobile models.

These are great engines, but might be a bit long in the front part, making them hard to fit into a Sunny [B310] engine bay.
My 1968 "Petersens Complete Book of Engine Swaping" says that they are 28 inches long & only 320 lbs weight in a ready to run state. Sounds like it might be worth having a good think about it..
