the 240C has a MASSIVE chassis rail (it's a full chassis vehicle) and the steering box is a super quick (3.2 lock2lock) ratio and is bigger than the std P610/B210 ones so it was a bit of a nightmare. i could have used a 200B one and made it fit but the engineer wouldn't even entertain the idea.

the sunny has a much smaller steering box - but a much smaller engine bay. the physical dimensions on the 1UZ is very close to 700mm x 700mm x 700mm (2 and 7/8ft cubed).

if sump dramas arise, custom ones are VERY easy to make up for this engine. they aren't structural see...!

i suggest you jump onto lextreme and talk to David about borrowing an engine (or knowing someone in NY who will - he's in LA) for a trial fit up.
