Hi guys,
I found the water leak that's been plaguing me on my CA18.
The hose from the block to the oil cooler is a strange diameter. It is not used in ANY other Australian delivered car as a heater hose.
I found a replacement though! The twincam EFI Hyundai Lantra (early 90s), uses a very similar (no mods required) hose from it's power steering reservoir to the power steering pump, it's located on the passenger front side of the engine bay.
Also..this model uses a lovely NTK 4 wire oxygen sensor. Another good find for <$10.
So, apologies the purists, I now have the following manufacturers parts in my green car, Nissan, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Holden, Hyundai, Mazda and Ford.
The Nissan parts in my car include: 1200, B140 Bakkie, 180B, 240Z, 260Z, N14 Pulsar, Import VG20DET Maxima, S13 Silvia, 280C, 1600(510), B310 Sunny, 120Y, 300ZX, Bluebird 910, Pintara U12, N13 Pulsar, A10 Stanza, R31 Skyline.. I think that's it.
Hmm interesting.
