The rear area of coupe can be made to handle such encounters if you build a wooden shelf for the hatchback area to replace the weak stock fiber-board back there. I did that (built the rear wooden piece) in my other 1200 and slept MANY times in there on cross country trips. I'm 6'2" and fit in there just perfect, and that was with a 4 point rollbar installed, making things a little kinky back there. Without the roll bar or luggage I guess it would be feasible to fit 2 adults but I never tried it

Plus that'd put a lot of stress on the shelf supports...you'd have to strengthen it up back there.
