I have FWD offset rims on the front of my car. 6" rims, not sure of the offset.
I have 175mm tyres. By my measurements I have a track width 15mm greater than the max amount allowed.
Rims with greater offset will not help as my small and sexy pinky finger barely fits between the strut and the tyre. (ie about a 5mm gap).
I'm unsure of the amount of camber I am running?? If I reduce the camber, the track will reduce but 15mm is quite a bit??? I may end up running positive camber just to get it over the pits!!!
My car ain't yet on the road. I attached the speedo and took it for a spin round the block. (my 3rd such drive) Mind you my car is registered.
I am about to turn onto the main road, (my speedo not workin) a commodore drives past. I decide to see how long before I can catch this commodore............about 100m down the road........guess who's goin the other way????????
the coppers do a u turn, turn their light on...I start pullin over...they keep goin!!!
I'm stoked. The commodore pulls over and the coppers stop behind him. Its my bloody day

...........................NOT

.
As the copper gets out of the car...he waves me down.
They give him a speeding ticket and me....a yellow sticker...for having loose wires in the car.
At the moment I'm busy doin other things...(My GB started whinning..I don't want to know)
Also...rims are allowed to be upto 2 sizes bigger than standard??? standard is 4.5"...does that mean rims only up to 5.5" are allowed????????????
