Gentlemen, Having just returned fron 10 fantastic days up in the Sunshine Coast ( Australia ) I was amazed to see over there that 91 unleaded was costing on average $1.14 per litre with further discounts of 4c/ litre available if one spent over $30 on groceries at Coles. Upon returning to the 'Shakey Isles ' ( NZ ) to my disgust the same 91 costs $1.48.9/ litre and costs that at every gas station all over Christchurch.- So much for competition.... Could someone from Queensland please give me an idea of how much tax you are paying to the gov. per litre there? Quite frankly the situation over here is an absolute disgrace with ( the only ) 4 oil companies operating in what is clearly a cartel and screwing the life out of the economy and a limp wristed tax mad government who choose to turn a blind eye to it all as every price hike is more revenue to their coffers. Cheers Dave
