If you have good oil pressure around 50-60psi as COUP1200 has mentioned you should be fine. One of the things that can kill the A series in competition is oil temp.
You would be best to check your oil pressure and if thats OK then I would be fitting a good quality oil cooler to ensure long life.
Oil volume is something else you might want to consider, if you want a higher volume pump you can modify your existing one by using L Series internals - see "my photos" for details.
