With the original question answered (eventually), does it really matter where the thread ends up?
datrat_dave- didn't you post a pic of a GM V8 on a dyno into this thread not so long ago

I took it to be a genuine post not subtle and ironic commentary on the direction if the thread.....
All i was getting at when I changed the subject was going from "can you get 150-200hp out of an n/a a-series" to Why the fark would you bother?...... unless you were racing and class rules prevented a swap...... which doesn't seem to be the case for any of the contributors to this thread
