I am tyring to decide between a 32/36DGV and twin Hitachi's on my A15

I spoke to a bloke here in perth with a fair bit of rally experience, and he reckoned that the twin SU style carbies were more trouble than they were worth. He had huge problems with the fuel in the fuel bowl getting too hot and flooding the carby when you switched the car off after a run. he tried heat shields, thermo-wrapping the exhaust etc, all to no avail. He reckoned one of his mates went to the effort of installing a pump to suck the fuel out of the bowls when you turned it off to prevent the problem

Has anyone else had this problem, or was it likley to be a symptom of some other issue? I don't want to ditch the 32/26 idea for twins if it is just going to be an expensive headache.
