I'm a semi-regular rally go-er. But I won't make this one, I'm off to Bathurst. Its the final round of the QRC, the Goodyear Auto Classic Rally (Gallangowan). I competed last year which is the only reason I didn't go back to Bathurst. As it turned out, that was a mistake...
Anyway, Its on this Saturday btw. I can't find any spectator instructions on the BSCC site, but they should be available from Rally HQ at Kilcoy. First car leaves Kilcoy at 9:30am, so be there by 9am at the latest if you are going to make it to the spectator areas in time to watch the front runners.
Spectating will involve some moving around, as the rally cars make their way from Kilcoy, up the range to Jimna for regroup/lunch, and then out through the forests to Gallangowan.
Kilcoy Sports Centre: A small Breakfast menu will be available from 7.30 am
Sausage Sizzle & Coffee $3.00 or Bacon/Egg Burger & Coffee $5.00
Jimna Sports Complex: To be advised
Gallangowan Oval: Catering will be available form 3 pm onwards till late. Breakfast will be available on Sunday Morning.
Gallangowan is the traditional end of season party too. Nearly all the crews stay there overnight and celebrate. It would be worth going just to see Ian Ogilvie in action in his mighty 1200 coupe. He finished 5th outright in another State Championship round earlier this year!

Its the most amazing A series 1200 you will ever see competing anywhere! Go and see it while you've got the chance!
