All my equipment is european, The converter, lockoff and VPM mixer are made in italy By OMVl, the tank is made in croatia. All E-code certified, much more stringent than USDOT certidied stuff.

I like that the european kits use an electronic lockoff with 3 shutof points ( tank,engine bay, and at the vaporizer ) I also get an electronic fuel level gauge and an on tank gauge, the tank also have a built in fill stop and doesn't have an 80% bleed ( which i think is good, why vent gas to the atmosphere )

Is the carbon build up worse than what one gets running gasoilne? One of the selling points is that there isn't supposed to be carbon buildup, might it be from running gasoline part of the time? Cold starts are fairly easy, i have to keep the throttle open a little with my foot, but it warms up quick, seems to be that it lacks a choke, not that the fuel isn't vaporzing, if it were used in a cold area i'd install a block heater to help it be ready sooner. I'll have to keep an eye on the carbon buildup over time, since this is a brand new motor and only ran on gasoline for about 4000 miles, i'm going to be doing an oil change soon and switching over to synthetic oil.

my converter has a drain for "sludge" I wonder if the more recent hardware is more able to deal with low quality fuel...

I think the car runs better after 3 days than it ever did on my weber 32/36 ( but 30 + yeat old webers just seem to have problems, the guy at the carb repair shop doesn't like them, DCOE's are a differnt beast and work well )

How much does boring 30 thousandths of an inch over increase the compression?
