If the L14 is capacity free you could use an L18 crank and rods with an 84 mm bore making 1730cc.
This would give you a reliable 160 hp with long life for the engine between rebuilds.

This head has some unique parts that are still with the head dating from 1989 in the pics I have. I tried to buy it in 1989 from Graeme Thompson in Sheparton, but it was $6000 then and I couldnt afford it. He also had an FJ24 (freshly engine dynoed. It was $10,000 then (This became Phil Morris's engine I think). I also have a dyno sheet for the LZ from 1979 when Nissan motor company owned it.

The only difference between engines is the pistons. Combustion chamber volume on the heads is 19.5 cc. It relies on the valve pockets and 89mm head gasket for the rest of the clearance volume.

I would like to know where the LZ bottom end is :)
