Using stock intake with extractors....what to do with the big hole?

Hey all,

Bit hot here in Vic to work on the car today...but not too hot to try and solve a mystery about the Datto.

I've got a set of extractors, and want to use them with the stock intake manifold. The only problem is that carby heating system that is part of the stock intake&exhaust manifold.

I thought I might be able to pry that plate of the exhaust manifold and bolt it to the intake....but wasn't confident it would work. Anyone have any experience with this situation?
