That's right Dave, these uni's are not replaceable, so therefore you will need to find another tailshaft.
You can usually tell if it's on the way out as there is movement in the end.
Also when your changing gears, you will hear a sort of a tink noise, especially in the lower gears, as this happens occassionaly in my white 120y coupe.
