I am sure there are cheap and expensive meters avaliable. I cant see a need for an expensive one. Mine I bought about 10 years ago at Kmart, it came in a set with a timing light, compression guage and the dwell meter. I dont think I would of payed more that $20 if that. I would have used the meter atleast once a week for 6 years minimum and its the only thing I still have from that set.

Did you adjust your points abit? I would have a fiddle just adjusting them to see if it makes a difference. No point buying a dwell meter at the moment if it isnt going to help sort the problem.
